Annual report and accounts

Our supporters continue to be very loyal and committed to Childlife, which we cannot thank you enough for. A copy of our full annual accounts can be found here. In the last financial year, each of the four Childlife partner charities received £100,000.
We asked each of the charities to tell us how the money they receive from Childlife has been used over the year (full details can also be found in the annual accounts statement).

For Acorns, the amount received from Childlife is the equivalent of 14 days of the hospices running costs whilst for Ataxia UK it has meant they have been able to invest in two research project which are exploring potential therapies for Friedreich’s ataxia, the most prevalent ataxia in children.

The National Children’s Bureau uses its Childlife donation to delivery over 60 projects each year, giving young people a positive and effective voice and helping them to develop skills and confidence to change their lives.

The National Deaf Children’s Society strives to ensure every deaf child is valued and included by society and has the same opportunities as any other child. One particular success that has impacted on many deaf children is the NDCS’s campaigning to halt the unlawful cuts to services crucial to deaf children, made by local councils.
